Welcome to DMS Integration

DMS Integration is a new product, brought to you jointly by 50 Below and ADP Lightspeed, the leader in powersports Dealer Management Systems (DMS). This innovation allows dealers to process and fulfill Web orders along with in-store orders, directly within the DMS.

The preferences that you've set in Lightspeed—suppliers, taxes, shipping, credit card processing—are automatically applied to your Internet customers' orders, just as they are for your other orders. Because orders from your 50 Below Online Store go through your DMS, you won't have to manually transfer records of invoices and payments. Everything you need is in one system, your ADP Lightspeed NXT. At your command, Web order data from your Online Store flows into your DMS.

Here's how it works. You'll log in to your Lightspeed NXT, just as you always do. You'll see a button on your screen: "Web Orders." When you click that button, new orders and customer data will flow from your Online Store into NXT, where you'll process them. At each step of your order fulfillment within NXT, the system will update the order status in your 50 Below Command Center, so you'll always have a current record there, as well as in your DMS.

This simple chart shows the workflow:

DMS Integration Features

Install this special module in your 50 Below Online Store Command Center, and you'll find all of your orders from Internet customers appear in your DMS, ready for you to manage.

  • After initial configuration, your Lightspeed supplier codes are automatically applied to your Web orders.
  • Internet customers are consistently and correctly assessed the same sales tax rates that you have set in Lightspeed NXT (and ADP keeps updates available to you as tax laws change.)
  • Lightspeed NXT will automatically apply your shipping preferences when you fulfill online orders from your 50 Below Web site, just as it does for your other orders.
  • You can use your Lightspeed system to combine customers' online purchase records with their in-store purchase history.
  • Your Lightspeed NXT system automatically generates your accounting paper trail—invoices, receipts, etc.—and you process credit cards directly through the DMS.

Coming soon: During the fourth quarter of 2009, 50 Below will introduce the second phase of our integration with ADP Lightspeed, the product we're calling Inventory Sync. This exciting new product will allow you to push daily product availability information from your Lightspeed inventory management module to your 50 Below Online Store. You'll be able to show your Web customers which products are in-store and which are available quickly from your distributors.

DMS Integration Benefits

Benefits of DMS Integration from 50 Below:

  • Two tasks become one—instead of processing Web orders through your Online Store and then processing in-store orders through your DMS, you'll handle all your orders at once, consistently and effectively!
  • This integration eliminates the need to manually re-enter order and customer data. The information flows automatically, at your command, from your 50 Below Online Store into your ADP Lightspeed NXT Dealer Management System.

Why DMS Integration?

Several thousand successful powersports dealers use the ADP Lightspeed DMS to manage their businesses. Lightspeed automatically tracks sales and keeps the dealer's inventory and accounting records up to date as in-store sales occur.

When a dealer processes an online sale using typical Web site tools, that sales data remains "inside" the Web site. The dealer must manually re-enter the Internet sales data into the DMS—it's like keeping two sets of books.

It is more efficient, and more accurate, for dealers to manage both their in-store sales and on-line sales using the same system. DMS Integration makes that happen.

Endorsements

"By teaming up with 50 Below, ADP Lightspeed is able to offer unparalleled functionality and ease-of-use for powersports dealerships. Through our exclusive alliance, dealerships will not only be able to automatically download their Web orders from their 50 Below Web site to Lightspeed, a dealer’s Lightspeed DMS will be able to tie vehicle and PG&A inventory to their Web site. That saves powersports dealerships time and money."

FAQs

+ Is it difficult to install this DMS Integration product?

No. In fact, the technical experts at 50 Below and ADP Lightspeed do most of the work for you. All you'll need to do is set your preferences in Lightspeed—suppliers, taxes, shipping, credit card processing—if you haven't done that already.

+ I've become accustomed to managing my Online Store separately from my physical store. Am I required to use DMS Integration?

You can continue to manage your Online Store just as you have in the past, using your 50 Below Endeavor Command Center. We're confident, though, that if you're a Lightspeed user you'll want to add this DMS Integration product—it's quite a time-saver.

+ I use a different DMS (not Lightspeed) in my business. Will this product work for me?

We've partnered with ADP Lightspeed because their DMS is the leader in the powersports industry. This DMS Integration product is designed to work only with Lightspeed NXT.

However, if you use a DMS from MIC, C-Systems, Softtek Software International, QuickBooks, or other reputable company, let us know. Our Universal Orders API (the innovative technology behind 50 Below's DMS Integration product) may already be integrated with those other Dealer Management Systems. Contact us for more info.)

+ Will DMS Integration allow me to show my Web customers which products I have in stock, and which ones my distributors have readily available?

That's such a good idea, we're building it right now! In the winter of 2009-2010, we'll introduce a further integration with ADP Lightspeed. We're calling it our 50 Below/ADP Lightspeed Inventory Sync product. You'll be able to show customers on your Web site exactly which products you have in your physical store, and which ones are available at your distributors.

+ Will 50 Below tack on any per-sale fees or per-download fees if I use DMS Integration?

No. There is no per-sale fee, no percentage of sales, or anything like that. There is only a small monthly fee for adding this product to your 50 Below Online Store.
