+ E-commerce scares me. Do I have to sell online?

If you’ve never tried a 50 Below Online Store, it’s not unusual to be a little nervous. Our Endeavor software (the software that makes our Online Stores operate) makes it easy. It guides you through each step of operating your site and filling orders. When it comes right down to it, operating an Online Store is a lot like doing retailing over the phone or by mail-order.

Some dealers like to “get their feet wet” in e-commerce by initially inviting Internet customers to simply “Call for Price.” After a few weeks of this, they’ll turn on their Online Store’s full online sales capability. It doesn’t take long to build the confidence you need to open up for business online.

One more reason to get started now. The fact is that 16% of people who buy in a physical retail store don’t go there until they research their purchases online. Would you rather have your customers researching products on your Web site or your competitors’?


+ Do I have to load all the products?

No. We have 22 people who spend every day updating over 90 powersports catalogs with hundreds of thousands of products. They’re all ready for you to display and sell on your site with just a few clicks of the mouse.


+ Do I have to set prices for all my products?

Most of the thousands of products listed in catalogs for your 50 Below Online Store are pre-loaded with MSRPs. Our Web site tools enable you to easily re-price selected items, or every item, up or down (by either a percentage or a dollar amount in relation to the MSRP.)


+ Can I change my pricing? Can I have sales?

Yes, and YES! Your Online Store has a Command Center that you can use to change your pricing at any time. Your changes can take effect immediately.

You can set up as many sales as you’d like, whenever you want, using your Online Store’s Command Center. Products that you set as “on-sale” are automatically displayed with a special red “Sale” banner and a display that highlights the regular price, sale price, and savings.

And here’s the really fun part--the Command Center enables you to select sale products, mark their sale prices, and pre-set your sales to start and end on the dates you choose. You could even set up several sales in advance, and your Online Store will take it from there, automatically running the sales exactly as you’ve determined.


+ How do I handle shipping fees and sales tax?

Your Online Store's "Command Center" allows you to pre-determine your preferred shipping vendors, and the shipping fees that you specify will be automatically added to your customers' orders. You may also specify in-store pickup.

Regarding taxes, the current law requires you to collect sales tax from customers residing in any state in which your company has a physical presence. When you set up your 50 Below Online Store, you'll pre-set it to collect sales taxes at the proper rate from your customers based on the address they give with their orders.


+ There are certain products that I don't wish to sell. May I remove them from my online catalogs?

Yes. Your Online Store has administrative tools that allow you to customize your product offerings. You can remove any items you'd like to remove.


+ Can I add my own products that aren't in the catalogs that 50 Below offers?

Yes. An optional upgrade for your Online Store gives you administrative tools that allow you to add whatever you'd like to your product offerings. (For example, one of our powersports dealers has added homemade candy to his online catalog.)


+ How do I process an order?

When a customer orders from you, you'll receive an email notification. You'll log in to your Online Store's "Command Center," where you'll find all the details you need: the customer's name and address information, the product detail and part number, the method of payment, etc.

+ What do I do if a part is out of stock?

Same as you do in your physical store—if a customer wants an item that you normally carry but don't have on the shelf, you might suggest a similar (but available) product or you might order the item from your distributor. Or, if you helped your customer order an item from your distributor but the distributor is out of stock, you might suggest a similar product or back-order the item from your distributor.

You'll have the same options with your Online Store—that's one reason why the online order information will include the customer's phone number and email address.


+ What if a customer orders a product from a certain catalog, but I'd get a better dealer's price if I ordered the same item from a different distributor's catalog?

Just as is true in your physical store, if you fulfill your customer's purchase with the correct product, you can get it from whatever distributor or OEM you want to.


+ When do you get the new catalogs?

Year-round. We have data-sharing arrangements with Parts Unlimited, Western Power Sports, Tucker Rocky, and more than 60 other industry-leading manufacturers and distributors. As these companies release each new catalog, our Data Acquisition Specialists convert the catalog's product information into Web-friendly data, which is then available for our powersports dealers to load into their Online Stores.
